Jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 for iPad, iPod Touch & iPhone4

Jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1 came out earlier today but it’s only for the iPhone 3GS, iPhone4, iPad 1, iPod Touch 3G/4G and does not include A5 devices like the iPhone 4S or iPad 2.

Tried this on my iPod Touch 4G and the Jailbreak worked fine using redsn0w 0.9.10b1 for OS X. However, I bumped into some problem with Hackulo.us and my iPod Touch turns out wipe out all files int he device leaving only the Newstand app. It’s kinda weird but I’ve restored it 3 times and done the jailbreak several times now.

Took the risk and sooo glad that I did. Najailbreak ko na rin ip4 ko and it’s my first time ever to own a jailbroken idevice. Ayos pala sya, nakaka-addik magdownload ng theme.

Very happy with the outcome and glad that I was able to save 500php cause nag-DIY ako. Hehehehe.

Did this yesterday too, had problem with adding hackulo like you sir yuga, but i tried thrice ata and just restart the phone when the newsstand icon is the only one left. ok na xa after. installed installous 4 and so far no problem nman.

@jologs, ndi mabbrick yang ip4 mo, need mo lng mag download ng firmware na para dyan (yung latest 5.0.1) then gumamit ka ng redsnow or pwnagetool (mac) or bayad kana lang sa greenhills hehehe 500 lng ata dun wala no worries kna lang

bobo lang yan si wotl! wala naman yang idevice!!! 5110 lang cellphone nyang inutil na yan… pare! hindi najajailbreak ang nokia5110!! backlight at housing lang napapalitan sa cellphone mo.. pwede mo din iinvert ang lcd mo bobo ka…ang jailbreak, para sa mga matatalino lang…pero kung bobo ka at meron kang iphone, ipad at ipod touch.. tulungan kita para naman sumaya yang idevice mo at maunleash ang full potencial ng idevice…tandaan mo! hindi lahat ng bagay na magpapasaya eh nabibili! kung aasa ka sa app store! ipamigay mo na lang sa pulubi yang pera mo pambili ng apps! tawag ka sa number ko…8700 jolibee delivery, usap tayo:)

I jailbreak my iphone 4, ipod4, ipad, for my idevices to stand out sa mga “stock” idevices, and currently waiting ako sa jailbreak for iphone 4s & ipad2 para macustomize ko din, once you bought tweaks like barrel, etc, and actually tried it, maiinggit yung mga naka stock hehehe

We jailbreak to add more functions to our idevices, all my apps are paid and bought thru app store, jailbreaking doesnt necessarily means pirating, just like android rooting, kung ayaw nyo mag jailbreak wag na mag comment ng kung anu2x. Magtiis ka sa stock settings at look ng idevice mo, its our choice to jailbreak our idevices. Kaya kung wla masabing maganda, wag kna maging troll hehehe, jailbreaking is like opening the treasure chest, youll be amazed of what your idevice can do when its jailbroken.

Yeah, tell that to those who buy expensive PCs and Macs yet download pirated software or buy humongous LED TVs and yet download movies from the internet.

Jailbreak was never about pirating apps, it was unleashin the iPhone’s full potential. Go read and maybe you’ll learn something for a change.

Yup by jailbreaking, you can extend your idevice’s battery by using screendimmer, also by using speed intensifier, you can speed up your idevice’s response by reducing up to actually bypassing gui animation without affecting battery life, try mo muna bago ka mag coment ha, napansin ko kasi puro ka lng negative ehehe ndi mo pa kasi natry kc ndi ka marunong mag jailbreak hahaha, try mo muna bago ka puro negative comments ha

Pirates po ang nagje-jailbreak to get “free” apps. Most of us jailbreak to get better functionality from our iDevices. Like having more widgets in the notificaition center, or font-swapping.

Even the developers of these jailbreaks do not necessarily agree to piracy. They just want to “unlock” the full potential of our iDevices.

Did this with two iPhones and an iPad already, the newstand glitch is easily solved by restarting the phone. :)

Got it working perfectly
manually install the .deb files to cydia and put it on auto install folder

for touch4, phone4 use these versions:

appsync50-1.0.2.deb
installous-4.4.2.deb

get it from hackulo repo
http://cydia(dot)hackulo(dot)us

drag it to (use iFunbox Windows only or similar SSH on OSX)

//var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall
and restart and it will appear automatically

Only had to restore once, although the ‘Newsstand’ bug did happen. I just restarted the phone.

Also, it kept crashing and going into safe mode. Uninstalled some packages I downloaded and it’s ok now.

i think the key here is back up your idevice then restore.
after restore, use to latest redsnow jailbreak tool and your good to go.

i also had a couple of weird experiences such as missing native apps, always crashing mobile substrate, etc. so when i did a complete restore, i think it made the trick.

im hoping no odds for a while. XD

Still waiting for iPhone 4S ma jailbreak. Sir Yuga is it untethered jailbreaking you mean here? Matagal na kasi may tethered na jailbreak ang iOS 5.0.1 my friend told me he’s using an iPhone 3GS jailbroken.
