Looking to buy Samsung’s current flagship handset? If so, then you might fancy one of these accessories to go hand-in-hand with your Samsung Galaxy S4.
An announcement of a new flagship device wouldn’t be complete without the accompanying accessories that expand the gadget’s functionality. In the case of the Samsung Galaxy S4, the South Korean firm has released quite a handful of add-on devices for their priced handset.
Pouch, Cases and Covers
This is probably the first accessory that most people purchase for their smartphone. Not only does it add an extra layer of protection to their valued handset, it also adds a bit of flavor to the phone. If you’re gunning for a simple yet purposeful case for safekeeping your device, there’s a brown leatherette pouch for the S4.
Samsung also offers an array of smartphone covers for the Galaxy S4. There’s the traditional flip cover which comes in 7 colors (Black, White, Purple, Orange, Yellow, Green and Blue).
Then there’s the S-View cover, which is basically a flip cover with small, cut-out hole in the front that allows users to check on their notifications without having to open the whole cover. Samsung claims that it’s “Smart Innovation of the Flip Cover”. While we don’t totally agree with the “Smart” part, it does provide convenience to some users who are lazy enough to lift the cover off their phone.
If you think these flimsy flip covers won’t cut it, Samsung also released a set of protective covers that comes in 5 different colors. This covers provide extra protection around the back and sides of the phone from accidental drops.
Health-conscious S4 users will be delighted to know that Sammy is offering a pair of accessories that monitors their heart-rate and weight. The former is handled by HRM (Heart-Rate Monitor) aka S-Band. The device syncs with the S4 via Bluetooth and is compatible with Running Mate app.
Meanwhile, the Body Scale measures the user’s weight and beams that information to the phone via Bluetooth. Moreover, users can backtrack on their weight history with the help of S-Health 2.0 app.
Wireless Charging Pad/Cover
Since Samsung’s current flagship handset supports Qi wireless charging technology, the company also thrown in a Wireless Charging Pad in the list. However, we’d like to point out though that SGS4 owners can also use other wireless charging pads should they wish to do so.
In addition to these accessories, there are also the usual stuff like the Hi-Fi headset and extra battery kit that users can purchase separately. Samsung has yet to disclose the pricing and availability of these accessories, but we can probably expect more information about it as we inch closer to the launch date of the Galaxy S4.
