Link Ads as good alternative to Adsense

A growing number of pinoy blogs have been reporting better returns with Text Link Ads than Adsense.

Text Link Ads

Bloggers that have not had any significant success in monetizing their blogs via Adsense and other contetual advertising program have actully gotten good results via link ads. At TLA, each link ad could costs somewhere between $15 to $100 per month. Maximum link ads is 8 per blog but could be increased if demand for links on your blog exceeds that quota. TLA gets 50% commission from each sale.

A quick survey of Pinoy blogs at Text Link Ads reveals link prices from $15 to $40/link per month. The average per Filipino blogger is somewhere around $30 to $100 in total revenues. And most of these blogs have not been getting good results fom Adsense. Besides, the links are unobtrusive and can be displayed alongside other ad options.

it requires paypal right? how are you able to register? thanks!

  2. yuga says:

The Paypal is only for remitting payments if you’re outside the US or Canada.

However, several of my blogger friends have indicated that a quick chat with their support will solve the problem of issuing checks to the Philippines.

the linkads does give income. I haven’t earned at my site yet because it’s quite new. My daughter gets quite an income not to mention affiliate program can give you $25 per referral. Not bad at all.

  4. yuga says:

Yup, I got $25 from my referral to you! ;)

so there IS a way around paypal. i didnt add TLA because of that one bump.

what exactly did you tell them?

  6. jhay says:

Text Link Ads indeed does better than AdSense, ever since I got my first link ad, my on-line revenue increased greatly.

Now if I just get to sell more links then it will be much greater.

Would anyone know if TLA will work with a blog hosted on blogger? :)

    @ jayvee

Just clicked on their online chat support and told them about Paypal not supporting the Philippines and ask if you could get the checks instead. They will then ask for your billing address so they can update your records. That’s it.

    @ jhay

I got you on my referral list too! ;)

    @ AllergyBoy

TLa support sites that runs on PHP, Perl, ASP, Cold Fusion along with blogs that run on WordPress, Drupal, Movabletype as well as PostNuke and vBulletin. I guess Blogspot is not supported.

    Are these those ads:

    GPS Tracking
    What Moves Currency Rates?
    What Moves Exchange Rates?
    Typepad Search Engine – custom
    Chicago SEO
    Kartendrucker
    v7ndotcom elursrebmem

If so, I don’t like it. It has no contextual relationship with your website, and as SEs grow smarter and smarter, that will be a knock.
