Globe has included a web app for the iPhone 3G so postpaid and prepaid subscribers can access and manage information about their account. Here are some tips on how to access Globe myServices on your iPhone 3G.
If you just got your iPhone 3G, you will need to upgrade the software to 2.0.2. Just hook up your iPhone to iTunes (iTunes version 7.7 or higher) and it will prompt you about the update on the welcome screen. This is a 250MB download so it may take some time.
Once you’re done with the download and update, you can now access Globe myServices.
In your iPhone 3G, open up the Safari browser, go to Bookmarks and select myGlobe Internet. Once that’s done, you will be redirected to your Globe myServices homepage.
You will be asked to type-in your new mobile number (09xx-xxxxxxx) and accept the Terms & Conditions. An SMS will be sent to your iPhone with a 4-digit PIN which you will key-in again.
The Globe myServices allows you to view your current billing which includes roaming charges, unbilled charges and amount due. There’s an option to activate UnliTxt as well. Note: You will notice a bug in the due date.
This also allows you to switch between time-based charging and KB-based charging anytime so you have full control of your 3G connectivity. There’s also a store where you can buy Ringback Tones. There are no ringtones available for download since that’s being offered by Apple iTunes.
