iPhone 6 releases September with 4.7” and 5.5” displays?

Reports state that the anticipated iPhone 6 will arrive this September and is ‘likely’ to be offered in 4.7- and 5.5-inch variations. They also added that LCD panels would start mass production on Q2.

Japanese publication Nikkei says that Apple’s next iPhone might be larger than the current 5S, and that the displays will be made at Sharp’s factory in Japan as well as other places. This mass production of liquid crystal display panels will start as early as April-June, according to reports.

“Manufacturers have apparently begun making such components as fingerprint sensors and chips for liquid-crystal drivers.”

In addition, LG Electronics will also join in and supply panels for Apple and these displays are anticipated to deliver significantly higher resolutions than the current models.

As a refresher, the iPhone 5S carries a 4-inch IPS LCD display at 640 x 1136 resolution with a pixel density of 326ppi. It’s safe to expect that we would see something better from the iPhone this year – in terms of display, at least.

oh well, they are coming in a bit fast…as for me, user experience is far more beneficial than updating the screensize, LG G2 is still, my top choice for smartphone.

Laki nga ng screen, 16gb lang naman ang storage. Nung kapanahunan ng 4s, almost every where I go, may nakikita akong iPhone. Ngayon sobrang dalang na. Kahit sa MRT na siksikan, it would always be a gargantuan Samsung phone na makikita ko. Apple, late na naman sa party haha.

And with skyrocketing prices (a weakling iPhone 5c retails 26k) magiging niche product na ito.

    Say what???
Sabi ng Apple 4 inches is the perfect screen size di ba? at walang engot na magcocomment na di nila sinabi yun dahil YUN ANG FRONT PAGE NG SITE NILA UPON releasing iPhone 5.

Wag kayong paandar. Eating your own words and spitting new ones like you are pioneer and inventor of phones with big screens.

Mga Echosera! Love you Papa Kevs!

Apple must be responsible for releasing these rumors just when flagship smartphones from HTC and Samsung are announced..

still will rip-off peoples money , with the larger screen they will surely increase the price skyhigh , still with weak specs that can never compete to android phones with the same price range(samsung galaxy series , lg g2 , sony experia z etc …….)

These two reasons are why non-spec-hungry people (i.e., the massess) either buy it or desire it.

…this is speaking as an Android fanboy. I like Android for its customization, pero habang nakaka-experience ako ng UI stutters, glitchy framerates at plastic builds, I’ll always look up to the iPhone. But I must agree its overpriced though. The answer? 2014 HTC One M8.

sana $650 pa rin ang base model nung mas maliit na phone (4.7″). I am interested with the 5.5″. Kung kaya ng bulsa hehe

it was the board’s decision to make a bigger iphone. tim cook or even steve jobs (if still alive) is powerless.

With the absence of bezels, how are we supposed to hold this kind of phone without accidentally tapping anything? I am aware that there’s a technology for that but it would require additional sensors that require additional power, thus using energy where it is not needed.

I know this just a mockup but I seriously think this is impractical.

cguro d naman ganun kalakas ung power consumption nung sensor na un.as in halos walang nakokonsumo.pero tingin ko lng naman.hahaha

I am so tired of these kinds of rumors! Yung rumored picture tapos pagka-labas ng actual design is ibang iba. Since 2012 yung mga rumors about bagong iPhone is somewhat like very transparent. May pagawa-gawa pa silang video about that tapos hindi naman yun yung naging official design na nilabas nila. Parang yung rumored design ng galaxy s5.

they need to increase the size kasi napag iwanan na sila ng Android. imagine if Apple stayed with their famous 3.5″ screen, ship be sinking.
