Apple announced the new 13” MacBook Pro with Retina Display along with the iPad Mini and 4th Gen iPad last October 23. The 13-inch MacBook Pro finally joins its sibling with a 13.3” 2560×1600 pixel panel that will showcase a pixel density of 227ppi, bringing it to Apple’s Retina Display territory.

The base model is powered by a 2.5 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 Processor with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of flash storage. Optional configurations include a Core i7 Processor and additional flash storage up to 768GB. Unfortunately, the MacBook has no dedicated graphics card and only has Intel’s dedicated graphics to compensate for that.

It weighs in at 3.57 pounds and has dimensions of 0.75″ (h) x 12.35″ (w) x 8.62″ (d).

Of course, the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display also features 2 Thunderbolt ports, 2 USB 3.0 ports, an SDXC card slot and an HDMI port like other MacBook Pros. Everything is powered by a built-in battery and like the non-Retina model, this one is expected to run up to 7 hours.

The 13 inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display is available on Apple’s website starting at Php82,990 for the base model.

I tried it also. Medyo may sira lang siguro ang mata ko. Mahirap talaga gamitin sa 13″ na screen.

Never tried a 17incher though.

It’s actually that same as the 13 inch non-retina (I mean yung size ng windows, images, texts etc.) but everything looks better and crisper. Sadly, it’s really expensive :(

MBP retina may be overpriced pero san ka makahanap ng ganung screen ngayon much less nung 2010?

The specs should fall for the air category. Calling this “Pro” with this level of specs along with its price is a stupid move.

I’m very sure that the high resolution will quickly put the Intel HD 4000 in its knees. No discrete graphics for this price = no buy.

Apple is getting more desperate in deceiving people with the word “pro” being included in this laptop’s name.

Only a dumb person would buy this piece of overpriced crap whose specs belong to the 2010s era.

Tried this. Even w/o dedicated graphics like NVIDIA it still works smoothly. I, too, were disappointed with its specs when it came out but it works great actually. (Might disappoint gamers though but macs aren’t really for gaming. There’s a lot of PCs for that)

The NVDIA graphics should be 8GB, the processor should be intel core i7, the RAM should be 8GB, and the storage memory should be 750GB or maybe 1TB. If Apple will have that specs in their laptop, I will definitely buy it even if I have to get a loan.

I’m still happy to have opted for a macbook pro then replaced the included drives with an SSD and HDD combo (for the optical). Not as thin, but definitely not as expensive.

I’m sorry but 128gb is not a hdd but an ssd. 128gb is pretty much a suitable size for running your programs.

Instead of 128GB, Apple should have made it to 750GB or maybe 1TB, then the processor should be intel core i7, the RAM should be 8GB, and the graphics should be 4GB. Do you know any laptop that have these specs. Is these specs possible in Alienware laptops? How much does a laptop cost with these aforementioned specs.
