MiLi Pico Projector for iPhone and iPad

Here’s another interesting product from MiLi Philippines — a pico projector for the iPhone, iPod and iPad. That, plus a VGA adapter for laptops too.

It’s not really for general purpose but some of the case-use are interesting — more like if you’re always on the road and doing a lot of small presentations (mostly sales people).

The MiLi Pico Projector comes with a built-in iPod dock that fits any iPhone or iPod Touch. To use with the iPad, the 30-pin plug is removable and replaced with a cable extension.

It doesn’t really project everything from your Apple devices but only the videos/movies, YouTube stream and documents. Don’t expect your Plants vs. Zombies or Angry Birds games on the iPhone to be projected though — doesn’t work that way.

If you’re using a netbook or laptop, the kit comes with a VGA cable you can hook it up with or an RCA port for videocams or media players. The built-in speakers are loud enough but you can plug external speakers via a 3.5mm plug.

Been playing with it today and so far, it works nicely. Brightness is rates at 10 lumens which isn’t bad at all. They tell me it can do up to 70 inches on the all but have not tried it to that size yet. At around 30-inches, the projected images looks clean and sharp.

It’s got a built-in battery that can last up to 2 hours too though I have to try and test it if can really work that long without being plugged to the wall. More on this once I done testing all the features and functionalities.

The MiLi Pico Projector has a retail price of Php26,000 and is only on an order-basis at the moment (contact details below).
