Rumored 4G iPhone HD could be next

If the leaked pictures on Engadget is to be believed, the 4th generation iPhone HD could be coming out in a couple of months.

These pictures could be a sneak peek on how it would look like if they do announce/release a new one this June.

Aside from the usual bump in capacity, the HD label could mean either a much better optics or 720p video recording/playback. How about getting an AMOLED screen with that? And from the looks of it, those aluminum band on the side will make the 4th gen will be somewhat similar to the 1st gen.

It’s still a guessing game but my hopes are pegged on a much better chip — perhaps a 1.0GHz A4 used in the iPad? That, plus multi-tasking on the OS and you’ve got a pretty nice combination.

Update: It’s been confirmed. Gizmodo got the scoop and paid $5,000 to get the lost iPhone 4G.

And apple wants it back.
