Hi Abe! I have been sure of buying the Lumix GF1 that comes with the 14-45mm lens a few weeks from now until I read your entry about the new Sony Alpha NEX-5. Now I am confused whether which one to buy. Lol! I am more concerned with image stabilization, low light shots, shutter speed, zoom and portability. Please help me decide. Do you have a way of telling me the pros and cons of each camera compared side by side? Thank you and I would really appreciate your help.

I have not really tried the GF1 before so all I can share with you would be a side-by-side comparison of theirs specs.

The Sony NEX-5 has bigger sensor, full HD video recording and higher ISO. I’d say the NEX-5 is better.
