Jamby Jambalos asks:

Abe, I’m torn between the iPad2 and Transformer…could you do a comparison between the two? PRO’s and CON’s maybe…. help is greatly appreciated. Tnx!

YugaTech answers:

Main difference between the two is that iPad 2 runs on iOS and Asus Transformer runs on Android Honeycomb.

Both tablets claim up to 10 hours of battery life but the Transformer comes with a docking port and physical keyboard that extends battery life up to 16 hours. That should be great for when you take long trips.

With the iPad 2, you have 6 options between WiFi only to WiFi+3G and storage between 16GB to 64GB. You don’t have that much option with the Transformer, specifically no 3G, just 16GB and 32GB storage options.

However, the Transformer has a built-in microSD card so you are able to plug in an extra 32GB additional storage if you really needed it. It also has a micro HDMI port so you can plug the tablet to a big monitor. The iPad has that feature but you need to buy an extra cable adaptor.

Of course, from the form factor side, the iPad 2 is thinner and lighter than the Asus Transformer.
