The move by Google is indeed laudable. As a domain registrar, I also find it hard to renew client's expired domains because of domain tasters.

Totally unnecessary.

Domain tasters initially do it to check if a domain has a traffic or none, and if it has the former then monetizing just follows.

Hi Yuga - Yep, that is correct. It is a different program than the regular AdSense that we are using.

Thanks for the update, Bob. I was a bit confused how'd that would go thru. So, it will be just for those who are into AdSense for Domain.

This policy is not for websites with content. It is for "Google for Domains" accounts, not normal AdSense accounts. In other words, it is for parked domains. The average person doesn't even qualify for Google for Domains anyway, it is only for very large publishers.

I think this is a good move for google, it would let non-legit sites from exploiting their ad service. Although I suggest that they also put in some measures for the legit ones as Abe mentioned...
