Western Union Quick Cash for Philippine AdSense Publishers

Looks like the beta stage for the Western Union AdSense payout has been completed and rolled out to everyone. The Western Union Quick Cash is now available for Philippine AdSense Publishers.

You can now receive payments for your AdSense account the next day payouts are approved. That’s much faster than getting it via regular mail (25 days) and even via DHL Secured Express Delivery (5 days). Selected Philippine Publishers have been using this delivery method for months now, under beta testing stage.

Your Western Union Quick Cash payment will be made in US dollars. However, at most Western Union Agent locations, you may have the option to receive your payment in your local currency. Conversion rates will be calculated according to the rate used by the Western Union Agent on the day you pick up your payment.

Western Union

If you would like to receive your earnings by Western Union Quick Cash, please complete the following steps:

1. Sign in to your account at www.google.com/adsense.
2. Visit the My Account tab.
3. Click the ‘edit’ link adjacent to the ‘Payment Details’ header.
4. Select the Western Union Quick Cash radio button.
5. Click ‘Continue’.
6. Click ‘Save Changes’ to save your payment type.

Please make sure that the name on your account exactly matches that on the government issued ID card that you will bring to pick up your Western Union Quick Cash payments. If you need to update your payee name in your account, please let us know and we will be happy to help you to do so.

This could finally be the answer to all those mysterious disappearances of AdSense cheques in the post office. Just hope the WU Exchange rates are better.

True, the only question here now is whether Western Union’s exchange rates are better than the Secured delivery checks. But given the 1-day payout, it surely is an improvement over the secured checks.

And yes, WU payouts are free:

The maximum payment we can send for an individual payment is the following (US$10,000). If your payment exceeds this amount, it will be switched to Secured Check delivery.

      Tough luck! :(

why would you be so angry! do you earn 10k US? wow at that!

      how do you do it?

siguro naman ang exchange rate ng Western Union is competetive naman sa mga banks, or am i right?

can anyone research on this? what’s the exchange rate of western union for the philippines.

    7. Gravatar Icon entrepreneur ideas replied on Sep 28th, 2007 at 2:41 pm (7)

I think this is best option for now besides faster delivery compared to secured check delivery and you can have your earnings in dollars which you can convert to peso anytime if the peso vs. dollar conversion is good.

Did someone mention free service fee? now that’s even better!

    8. Gravatar Icon noemi replied on Sep 28th, 2007 at 2:45 pm (8)

I still prefer the secure delivery over the Western Union. Deposit is safer and encourages savings.

hmmm maybe if the rates are better as BPI’s 3 day clearing is good enough for me.

      Hi Guys,

I just want to ask if i can deposit my check at any banks here in the phils?

This is great news - helps the Pinoy Google Economy.

For my personal use, I agree with Noemi - I’ll stick to USD deposits. Earning online is just side income for me, employment is still my main source of income. :)

      Pinoy Google Economy - haha… nice :D

Same here, I’ll keep it in USD, online income is just a secondary source of income for me. My Day Job is still my primary.

Using it to save for the business I will start :)

    18. Gravatar Icon Miguel replied on Sep 28th, 2007 at 5:42 pm (18)

Yes, the Pinoy Google Economy indeed. I wonder how much foreign money we have flowing into the country thanks to Google!

    19. Gravatar Icon jay replied on Sep 28th, 2007 at 6:27 pm (19)

i was actually surprised with this, just when i got my pin, i found this info on my adsense account.

before getting the money, better ask some money exchanger of what’s their rate of USD vs PHP. then go to WU, if their rate is higher than the money changer, withdraw it in PHP. if not, withdraw it in USD, then rush to the money exchanger.

    20. Gravatar Icon ernesto replied on Sep 28th, 2007 at 7:15 pm (20)

      is it free???

    21. Gravatar Icon yuga replied on Sep 28th, 2007 at 7:30 pm (21)

From experience, receiving funds from Western Union are free. This is because the sender pays all the charges. In this case, I’d assume Google had a nice agreement with WU for some discounted remittances. Big win for WU, IMO.

reall.. free tlaga ang pag receive ng funds sa WU? but are they going to get some percentage of our earnings ba? or medyo slight mababa ang dollar exchange rate? i just switched from secured delivery to WU.

      :)

    27. Gravatar Icon Showbiz Intriga? Get It From Boy! replied on Sep 29th, 2007 at 12:19 pm (27)

From what I’ve heard it seems that Western Union takes $15 for any payment below $3000, and $25 for payments that are greater than $3000.

Saka i don’t agree with google’s terms na kung kelan pinadala yung check, yung araw na yun din yung exchange rate, something like that…at least with WU, you have the option to WHEN to exchange it for the pesosesoses!

Wow…I’m getting excited finding all the links to Philippine websites. I guess, almost as excited when I first found Kirsty’s blog (linked from mine) where I realized the many ways of monitizing your website. I’m hoping to retire soon in the Philippines, and I’m glad to find some snippets of how this works from there. My husband has http://www.xzyllardrums.com and we’re just wondering how it would work from the Philippines. Just curious…is anyone there really earning more than $10,000 or even close to it? So far, in my recent bumming around the internet I found 2 legit $12,000/mo earners. It might take me another lifetime to get to this stage. Where was I then?
