iPod Prices in the Philippines

One way in retaining accidental visitors to your blog via search engines is to direct them to what they’re looking for. In SEO, they call it landing pages, right?

Here’s an example. If you search for “iPod prices in the Philippines“, my blog is ranked #1 in Google and in Yahoo. However, that page which is ranked doesn’t give any good info about the current prices of iPods in the Philippines.

iPod Pricing

So, what I’ll do is to write a new post giving exactly such information. I personally went to Mall of Asia and visited Apple Center to get the prices.

I have looked for a external battery for my 60 gig Ipod here in the Philippines but so far have had no success. Did you see any when you were researching this post?

    3. Gravatar Icon yuga replied on Nov 15th, 2006 at 11:34 am (3)

      @ Essbie

Hundreds of iPod Accessories. I might just scan that price list and attach it here later.

      @ Randy

Never seen one for iPods actually. Will ask the AppleCenter guys later when I pass by their store.

I really don’t know why they can’t convince me to buy an iPOD. I am contented with playing mp3s on my laptop and my car.

But sometimes I want to buy one then when I am about to, I will convince myself not to buy. hehe.. i really dunno why.

“landing pages”? yun pala tawag dun? but this is essentially what i did with searches for “talumpati.” and hits went through the not-so-high roof =)

How much is the MacBook Pro 17″ over there?

Do they have the latest model yet?

I’m planning on traveling to the Philippines and possibly staying for a while as I build my Internet-based business. Looks like I should buy my MacBook Pro and iPod before leaving the US!

Where is the Mall of Asia? In Manila?

      D

      Hi David,
I remember you from the old inet-access days in the 90’s :)

Nice that you chose the Philippines for the “outsourcing yourself” trend.

The Macs here are very expensive but the local distributor should honor your warranty, so bring them over.

Mall of Asia is in the Pasay City reclamation area, by Manila Bay, off Roxas Boulevard which I’m sure you visited if you came here to Manila.

As far as I know apple retail stores here adds up to P10k on their macbook prices.. though I haven’t seen the new core 2 duo macbooks yet! I think philmug sells them cheaper hehe.

Prices for Apple Ipod 5.5 gen, 2nd Gen Shuffle and Nano are quite on the right track though buying from the a non retail store is still cheaper. I haven’t seen the Ipod 2nd Gen 8 GB na red and the 2GB shuffle yet..

hey zee, i just got my ipod vid 30gb yesterday for only Php13,200 at Alabang Town Center – Electronics Boutique (3rd floor). The 80gb sells for Php17,700. Shuffle sells for Php4,400, Nano 2gb Php8,000, Nano 4gb Php10-12,000.
They have the cheapest prices, plus i got a free skin (mother’s day special, i think). I asked why they have such low prices, and the guy at the counter just said something about getting their stock directly from the apple stores in the US. Another plus is that they have the latest batch, the older ones i think had the picture of X-men in the box. Mine had a pic of Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean.
goodluck with your ipod, hope this helps!

    23. Gravatar Icon minamins replied on May 15th, 2007 at 8:25 am (23)

hey bobeth and real filipino – i asked my friends and relatives how much the ipod vid costs – in LA it sells at US$270 +tax, and in riyadh it sells at US$350 +tax…. see the previous reply post, there are some stores here that actually sell them cheap….you just gotta look real hard heheh….

    24. Gravatar Icon Tiffany replied on May 15th, 2007 at 10:01 pm (24)

      Heya,

Thanks, my parents have been wondering whether to buy here in the Philippines or at the US where my dad is right now.

      80GB iPod 5G is like:

      22,700 PHP vs 350 USD (16,000PHP Approx)

So the choice is obvious. Thanks again, you’ve been very helpful.

Actually, I am on for searching for the stuff I should buy.

I like iPod Touch but I am just quite disgusted with the memory but though I like the features.

Now, I am on for the iPod Classic 80GB which I like by now. And I am sort of confused with the prices of each stores. In iStore in Ayala I found out that it is Php 13K something but the other store in SM is just selling it by Php 12K something.

I would just like to ask if kasali ba ung earphones, charger and usb sa Price na 13K or 12K?

      Thanks.
