If I were a billionaire, I still would not buy this one, as it has the same old same internal stuff just like any ordinary iPod Touch… and given a huge sum of money, you might just have your own pmp/phone developed, customized, and created only for me ;)

But unfortunately, I am not. Toinks!

Surely it has a niche market.

I rather buy a bunch of different things, but hey a millionaire who bill such will treat it as a treasure like a Mona Lisa painting.

Oftentimes, what seems to be a stupid idea for us can be a brilliant and golden idea for someone else… (pun intended)

If I can afford it, I would buy it. Might put it on a frame or something and treat it like a fine work of art. Because that’s what it is.

Or I would just buy it and treat it as an investment, because while the iPod itself will probably cost just a hundred pesos 10 to 15 years from now, the gold in it will just increase in value and is a much more secure form of investment than many of today’s commodities.

There are real people who COULD and WOULD BUY this. They have money to spare, so what the heck. This is unique, and that is enough reason for a few people to invest in it. Remember that Php5M Cartier watch years ago? It was a limited edition and reservations far exceeded the actual number of units produced.

The “lucky” ones had the bragging rights then, and that was so satisfying for them. To each his own, and being on the other side of the fence – we may never understand the longings of these people.

    Peace!
