Linux on my iPod?

With the iPodLinux Project, you can. Been actually waiting for this for a couple of months already but support for the 4th gen iPod phot only came in recently.

The project details of an open source venture into porting Linux onto the iPod. So far, there have been success in porting a customized uClinux kernel to the iPod, and written a simple user interface for it dubbed podzilla. Many additional Applications have been written, adding many capabilities not found in Apple’s firmware.

I installed it about a month ago using the latest nightly builds but was unsuccessful and since my iPod was not yet supported, I didn’t push my luck. This is my second time and I was finally able to install it.

I now have iPodLinux (podzilla) as an alternative OS to Apple’s default firmware. I can always switch to either OS whenever I get bored with my iPod. :D It can now even play videos coupled with a pre-installed Matrix screensaver!

BSD, Lunix, Debian and Mandrake are all versions of an illegal hacker operation system, invented by a Soviet computer hacker named Linyos Torovoltos, before the Russians lost the Cold War. It is based on a program called “xenix”, which was written by Microsoft for the US government. These programs are used by hackers to break into other people’s computer systems to steal credit card numbers. They may also be used to break into people’s stereos to steal their music, using the “mp3″ program. Torovoltos is a notorious hacker, responsible for writing many hacker programs, such as “telnet”, which is used by hackers to connect to machines on the internet without using a telephone.

    - nabasa ko po yan..

Eh ano gamit nya noon? Radio? Baka TV. Ang galing naman niya. Lahat yun – BSD, Lunix, Debian, Mandrake – nagawa niya. Sana isinama pa niya ang Redhat para kumpleto. Hehehe
