Creative looks like it’s just playing catch-up with Apple. However, it’s new portable video player, the Zen Vision M, looks very promising with better video support for formats such as MPEG1/2, MPEG4-SP, WMV9, Motion JPEG, DivX 4 & 5, and XviD. The finish is so familiar and akin to the iPod and sports a wide array of colors from apple green, pink, sky blue, black and white.

The navigation is exactly like that of the iPod, or put it the other way around since Creative won that patent case against Apple for the navigation. Although audio playback caps at 14 hours, video playback is twice than that of the iPod video which is 4 hours. You also get an FM tuner to boot.

Surely packs a punch in the features department. But will it be able to carve a slice away from the iPod? Not so sure.

We have used different creative zen products at the office. their small mp3 player (the one that looks like that of the ipod shuffle) is the best that they can offer. If you buy the higher version you will get disappointed. Screen hangs, not user friendly at all, battery life is so short, etc. But I can always recommend the creative stone plus since i have been using it since 2007. matibay sya and long battery life, yun nga lang mp3 player at recording lang ang use nya. :)

ka bwiset naman Creative!! walang kwenta! walang after sales support sa pilipinas! walang service center! sira na ata battery ng Creative Zen Stone ko pero wala mapalitan ng battery. disposable product nila satin after the warranty ends!

I was just wondering…are there any service center/s for creative lab products and do they sell other accessories for their products? I’m planning to buy czvm and just incase it might have a problem in the long run, i know where to find help. I’m thinking it might have its service center in SM North since almost all gadget stuffs here in Philippines has its service center there. Does anyone know its service centers? Thanks.

i have had my zvm for almost a year now (i badgered y sister to buy me one before zvm finally appeared in local stores heheh)… so far, there’s been no problem. in fact, i’d considere it one of my best buys ever (love its video capabilities and its screen — it beats ipod’s by a mile!)

the thing is– lately it’s been ‘hanging’ up on me too many times than ‘d care to count. just this pm, it wouldn’t play anymore (waahhh!)

i can’t figure it out if it’s the battery or something. would you pls tell me if creative has a svc center somewhere in makati? or better else, is there anyone out there who’s been encountering the same problem?

Creative Zen Vision M really Rocks !!! Never been an Ipod user before but I believe I was destined to buy this kick@ss monster of a player. I got a 60Gig CZVM a month ago and got addicted watching videos and listening to MP3s. You can purchase a 30 Gig from Villman, Electroworld, SM Mall of Asia Appliance Center, and Complink. The 60Gig version you can get from Complink and Villman.

I have a question regarding the Zen Vision M. If I purchase one from the internet (coz its a lot cheaper), would you know what the warranty of the product will be and where the service center of creative is here in the philippines? Also, if I got my unit from an online store, will the service center honor the warranty?

mmmmmmmmm it is really amazing gadget it has all the multimedia feature that you are looking for. Mine, i got this Creative Zen Vision for 4 days palang and and it is really awesome. Actually i am looking for Creative Zen Vision: M but i saw this one and i try to see what’s the difference between the 2 (Zen Vision and the Zen Vision:M) at the first glance you wouldn’t notice the difference because they have the same features like you can view photos, watch movies (mpeg, avi, xvid and divx so no need to convert to H 264(Ipod format video)) and listen to your favorite music (mp3 only) But if you look further you will notice that the M doesn’t have this Audio/Video jacks, the Screen is only 2.7 inches and of course the price Vision M is a lot cheaper than Vision. M is 17999 and the other one is P22,999. I bought my VISION at electroworld and the price is worh it. But now I am looking for any accessories like the new AURVANA earphone. Meron ba kayong alam na pwede mabilihan ng mga accessories ng creative. Update your firmware now. para latest din ang firmware ng Zen Vision nyo.

I just bought it a few days ago… I’m veeery happy with my purchase! My best friend who always wanted to have an iPod is jealous, LOL. We both agree that it beats the iPod in video quality, hands down. Very pretty scree, in vibrant colors. Not like the washed-out, dull colors of the iPod.

i finnaly got one at cyberzone at sm. and i tell you its amazing. way better than my ipod, (though i still have mine) it has a color lcd screen that’s to die for, 250,000 color unlike the ipod that only has 65,000. it support all kinds of video formats like wmv, avi, mpeg, and man more. and its sound quality is incredible. i suggest you get one. i bought it for 19,500 and it was worth every penny. :-)

btw, electroworld can be found in any sm mall… yup they also carry the ‘creative’ range. so does abenson, i think :-)
