Understanding effects of blog in media/country.

I received an email a while ago from students of The Manila Times School of Journalism about their study on understanding the effects of web log development in the media and in the country. I think this is a face to face interview but they asked me if I could share some of the questions to fellow bloggers, may they be working for the Philippine media or not.

Here are some of the questions:

1.) From a journalist’s point of view, what is a blog and how has it revolutionized the means of spreading pieces of information?

2.) What are the advantages and disadvantages of blogs?

3.) What problems have you encountered regarding blogs?

4.) How and when can blogs be a reliable source of information? (Also, please cite examples.)

5.) In what ways have blogs assisted journalists in the correlation and creation of news stories?

6.) How may journalists maximize blogging in aid of journalistic excellence?

7.) What more can blogs offer in the future?
