Book 7: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Contest

Harry PotterThis is not a book recommendation. This is a book contest. Yes, get the chance to win the book 7 of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. After last Saturday’s brouhaha over the book launch, I got a barrage of spoilers from avid readers. Now that got me a little irked. How will I enjoy the movie now? So, I thought of a plan. Bury them story spoilers and I’m giving away the book as a deal (and no I didn’t read it!).

Wanna know how you can win this Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book? See mechanics after the jump.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Book 7

How to join:

1) Blog about this contest. Use the picture above in your post (you can hotlink or upload on your blog). The more people joining, the better.

2) Answer this question in your blog: “If you were given the chance to make an alternate ending of book 7, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, how would you write it?” Don’t write about the real spoilers; make your own. Be wild. Be creative!

3) Add the Technorati tag “Harry Potter Book 7 Contest”. This is one way of tracking all the entries. You can trackback too or leave a comment linking to your entry.

On August 5, 2007 at 12 midnight, I will draw the lucky winner of the book contest and results will be posted here. Winner must then contact me within 24 hours of the announcement or I will draw another winner (Subscribe to the feed or add your email address below to get instant email alerts).

Free shipping (24-hour courier) to anywhere in the Philippines. If you’re outside the country, we’ll work something out.

This is fun. I need to think about it a bit.

Abe, why refuse to read the book? As clickmomukhamo twitted, the movie will probably be a three-parter and directed by Peter Jackson.

I’m also giving a prize to the best entry. I just haven’t decided on what it is yet. However, my opinion of “best” could be very subjective and participants might not like my personal choice. So, I’m going for the game of chance as I feel it’s more fair to everyone.
