Just semantics I know, but since there was no money being made by microsoft then it's not really piracy. One could argue that there was money lost by SEC, but that's a little curious as well since it's not like they were going to sell those tutorials anyway. It was a silly gaffe by Microsoft, but I don't think they they were willfully pirating, someone in the chain of command just slipped, and they didn't catch it in time.
