The Deep Blue H1 UMPC laptop/notebook has recently been released in the Philippines with an affordable price of just Php16,995 only.

Specs of the laptop includes: 7″ inches diagonal length, 800×480 screen, 1.0GHz Via C7-M processor, 1GB RAM, 40 GB HDD, WiFi, LAN, 0.3 megapixel webcam, 2 USB 2.0 ports, 4-in-1 card reader, 1.2 kilograms, and runs on Linux OS.
This laptop is definitely an Asus Eee PC competitor — way cheaper and has solved the problem of storage space. We don’t have review units yet so we can say if the system works as expected.

Keyboard contacts can be cleaned. You can go to Greenhills and have it checked there by some technicians. It could be easy that they won’t even charge you. But I still gave them P200

the last time i checked from the store where I bought my blue h1 umpc here in Cagayan de Oro, the price increased from 12t to 16t. I really don’t know why. Maybe because there is fewer stock available because the trend is heading towards the 10-inch UMPC’s rather than the 7-inch ones. Or maybe it was a campaign by blue to drop the price to gain footing on the Laptop/notebook/netbook market in our country.

got my 60gig version last january 2009,its worth the 10T+. i quiet agree with maurice b. regarding the availabilty of blue h1 in cagayan than in cebu. pirmi wala stocks in cebu-order basis. change os from linux to XP home and its running smoothly. no problem with CAD and graphics (V 2007 lang).

already had a bootable usb flash drive with win xp, then its taking too long, to install. Guess the best thing is to get an external cd drive for this.
thanks yuga
February 24th, 2009 at 9:05 pm
Connect it to an external CD/DVD drive. Or use a USB drive with WinXP.
February 24th, 2009 at 8:56 pm
Hi
How do you upgrade this H1 to windows xp? Its running on Linux OS now and I want to change it to XP. Do I need to have an external usb cdrom drive for this?
Thanks
January 7th, 2009 at 9:25 pm
what OS are you using? If its Windows XP, just activate the automatic updates in the control panel. I don’t know about Linux cuz I’ve never used any OS other than Windows. I’ve been a Microsoft user since my first old floppy drive desktop computer.
January 6th, 2009 at 10:34 pm

January 4th, 2009 at 11:59 am
Is there a battery upgrade for the deep blue h1 umpc from 4 cell to 6 cell battery pack? i want it to extend beyond 4 hours of usage and i don’t mind the extra weight and chunkier look.

hi guys! mine broke down due to corrupted files from a virus attack. I went to the dealer Graphics all-in store here in Cagayan de oro and i complained about the LCD having a thumb size flicker on the upper left panel pixels, and the lower body is deformed due to poor construction. Its probably a factory defect which happens all the time.
So no need to cry over spilled milk cuz the store agreed to replace my unit with a new one regardless of the virus attack. OS problems was not part of the warranty after all.
@Winlove… Here in Cagayan de Oro Graphics all-in store sells Blue H1 Winxp 40gb for 12,599 less 1,500 if bought during December and 9,998 for Linux 60gb. our prices in our city is much2x cheaper compaired to Cebu. Even cellphones are sold cheaper around here.
December 28th, 2008 at 8:56 pm

December 28th, 2008 at 7:42 am

I changed the OS now to Windows XP Professional (not Lite)hehehe! and its running smoothly, also Microsoft Office 2007 was installed, along w/ Yahoo and Windows live messenger. Oh, I also have Adobe Photoshop CS running on this cute baby and no problems editing those pics I had last christmas! This little baby has so much power inside the hood!
December 24th, 2008 at 11:25 pm
hi just purchased this wonderful umpc during the peak of christmas rush in one of our mobile gadget centrum in our city called graphics all-in store in cagayan de oro city. this umpc is so versatile and compact compared with my old neo q-note notebook.
im just surprised that many claimed that blue h1 umpc is a proud pinoy product. The harddrive is made in the phlippines but the design of the notebook itself does not originate from our country. i think its from china and there are other companies like in Thailand that contracts with this chinese company to build a umpc for them. i spotted one in google called NorhTec Gecko UMPC. they said its from thailand.
December 18th, 2008 at 1:27 pm
changed my OS to windows xp lite. and it still works like a charm.
highly recommended especially for people always on the go.
October 27th, 2008 at 11:50 pm
