I got really frustrated with the Smart WiFi thread and can’t find time to moderate the discussions there so I thought I’d rather throw in a brand new site just for them.

So there goes the Smart Wifi Chronicles.

I’ll let them do the talking there.

I checked for some nice domains to use and found out that Meredian Telekoms already took smartwifi.ph, smartwifi.com.ph and smartwifi.net.ph yet they never bothered to buy the one with .org.ph so I took it.

NTC also sucks! For those who tried talking to NTC I commend you. But unfortunately, NTC I tell you will not bother investigating SMART. Without SMART or PLDT (Sister Companies) NTC is nothing. I have friends from different ISP’s who has been complaining unfair practices of PLDT and SMART to NTC and nothing happened. NTC is under the payroll of PLDT/SMART. We are now at the mercy of PLDT/SMART. They control everything in telecommunications. So, where do we go? How about Globe? Haha Pati nga Globe Hirap na hirap sa pangaabuso ng PLDT. Dadaan at dadaan ang linya ng Globe sa PLDT. What I know is nagbabayad din ang Globe sa PLDT ng termination fees. Have you ever wondered why other ISP’s can’t match PLDT/SMART Internet price package? It’s because PLDT/SMART did this deliberately to kill the competition. Although, PLDT might lose money by doing unfair marketing practices but in the end they win. Mahaba kasi pisi ng PLDT/SMART. PHOTA kau SMART. MASUNOG sana KAU! P.I. Kau.

TIP: use download express from metasoftware when downloading, i have reached 321Kbps or approximately 40kBps while downloading, another thing i noticed, browsing/surfing is faster when i am downloading at the same time (maybe bandwidth allocation?). it does the trick for me. :-)

smart broadband is a useless kind of broadband… sucks fix and binabayad mo evry month pero ang service ang bagal they offer a speed of 384kbps but it always lower than the said speed,, gago ka hindi ka smart,,, are you not planning to increase your speed at 512kbps like globe wireless broadband,, mahiya naman kayo guys….. globe is only 995 at a speed of 512kbps e kayo ano? 384kbps pero mas mabagal pa……

palagay ko programmers ng Smart ang may problema. kung tama ang ginagawa nila e baka sakaling maganda ang serbisyo.

blackberry user ako, dapat e 30 centavos per 2kb email ang charge sa akin, as in PhP0.30 lang, kaso ang lumalabas sa kwenta ko e mahigit PhP5.00 per email ang singil sakin. kahit ang ipadala ko e isang(1) email lang na ang laman e “hi” sa buong buwan, ang sisingilin sakin sa data charges e mahigit sa PhP0.30.

lahat na inaway ko dun, lahat sila e walang magawa, parang diyos yata ang tingin nila sa programmer, hindi naman magaling at hindi maayos ang problema ko. naka-disable na ang blackberry emails ko ngayon sa unit ko. hinihintay ko na lang matapos ang saksakan ng mahal na binabayad ko sa unit na ito at lilipat na ako sa Globe!

ang pangit ng service ng Smart. hindi friendly ang karamihan sa Smart. yung mga friendly naman na nakakausap ko e walang magawa.

bottom line: Pangit ang Smart. Wag kayo magkakamali na pipirma ng kahit na anong contract with that company. Unless you like being screwed.

I think SmartBro is like a hooked! Potek connecting the net my speed nga! pero putsang ina! d realiable in the middle of something mag drop ang signal mo!!!!! pusang gala….. mas mainam pa dial-up mbgal nga pero maasahan mo sa online games…. unlike SmartBro …… longest time to play is 3-5mins then drop na signal mo ……….. wow shit talaga …………….. na hooked tayo ……………… CSR o tech Support! IPconfig lang alam! wlang kwenta! dpa sabihin na bulok pa tlaga sistema! wlang consistency ang service ng mga base station………………. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ………… were hooked ……… bkit di kaya nila lagyan ng reflector ang canopy nila baka maging stable ang signal, bullshit tlaga!!!!! pldt is holding smart naman talaga so no wonder that pldt dsl-w was merge with smart’s wifi (well, isa lang naman tlaga yun before but different financial holders now combined and turned it into smart bro)

it wasn’t really that big a deal. the problem was some of the commenters did not like it when others posted their positive feedbacks regarding the said service. the thread was for good and bad experiences not just for the latter. too bad abe closed the thread, it could have gone up to 3000 comments or even more. it was helpful too in many ways.
