Everybody wants to take on the Mac Mini these days. Besides, Steve Jobs seems to have forgotten they have a Mac Mini to update. All of Apple’s products have been refreshed except that Minis. Well Dell is out and selling a shiny competitor — the Studio Hybrid.
Forget the Asus Eee Box. If you have to spend some dough on a mini-desktop PC, spend it well with the Studio Hybrid.

Why? Well…
Intel Dual Core 1.86GHz to Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6GHz
1GB – 4GB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM
160GB – 320 GB Serial ATA Hard Drive (5400 rpm)
6x – 8X CD/DVD Writer
Intel GMA X3100
Gigabit Ethernet LAN
Wi-Fi 802.11n (built-in, optional)
5 x USB 2.0
IEEE 1394a port
HDMI/DVI video connector

The whole thing weighs about 2.18kg primarily because if the HDD. Starting price is $450 (~Php19,000, inclusive of Windows Vista Home Basic) for a Dual Core 1.86GHz, 160GB HDD and 1GB RAM but could easily swell up to $1,400 for an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6GHz T9500, 320GB HDD and 4GB RAM. Monitor sold separately.

You’re basing it from the Dell website starting price. If you purchase it from there, it would include tax, shipping and handling, and of course customs fees to be shipped here in the Philippines. Considering that, it would really be more expensive than your initial estimate.
Besides, don’t we already have the Shuttle XPC in terms of ultra small form factor PCs?
