Apple Safari Browser on Windows PC

Listen to article

Now, there’s another browser we can use on all our Windows PC. During the Apple WWDC 2007, which just concluded a while ago, Steve Jobs announced the Safari browser to be available for Windows PC. That, aside from announcing Leopard (Mac OSX 10.5) which is now entirely 64-bit ples all the other cosmetic upgrades.

Apple Safari
HTML rendering time (in seconds)

You can download Safari 3 Public Beta here. I installed it on my desktop and posted this entry using Safari. I have this gut feel it’s not really that fast. Was trying it out along with Firefox, Flock and IE7 doing some browsing inside my WP Admin Panel and it seems Flock does load much faster than all of them.

To not envy? Not sure… but what’s sure is, if Abe switches to Mac, a lot of people will follow. ;)

@ David – got the graph from Apple.com. I meant I used Flock on my desktop and thought it was still faster than Safari.

@ jayvs – Safari is just the platform. The browser still runs on OSX.

@ Ernie – forgot to add the caption “HTML rendering time”

@ Migs – how about “more ways for Windows users to no to envy Mac users”?
