Here’s a surprise coming out the door of LG, the touchscreen KC910 with an 8-megapixel camera. Phone makers are learning that one must have something to talk about with new products — this time 8 megapixels is the buzz term for the quarter.
The LG KC910 is similar to the earlier LG Viewty with an expansive 400×240 3-inch screen. It doesn’t have a prettier name yet, like the Secret or the Prada but I’m sure they’re thinking of one now.

It has WiFi, GPS and 3G with HSDPA speeds of up to 7.2Mbps, Bluetooth as well as support for microSDHC (8GB). The 8MP camera will have a 30fps video captuire speed at 640×480 resolution (there’s a special 120fps slow-motion mode) and an ISO that can reach to 1600. It has a digital image stabilizer and allows for manual focusing with Xenon flash and Schneider-Kreuznach lens.
You also get Dolby sound for music and DivX/XviD support for video playback. LG packed all these in a 14mm thin body.

It’s now available for PhP21,900-25K in various shops. This really is a mighty phone.
