LG officially announced the Optimus 2X (formerly called the LG Star), with the number two signifying the dual-core Tegra 2 processor (and it will be the first smartphone to have one too).

1.3MP secondary front-facing camera

The Optimus 2X can record up to 1080p video and output it to an external monitor at full resolution. The pre-installed Android Froyo OS is upgradeable to Gingerbread 2.3 when it becomes available.
The LG Optimus 2X is set to be released in the first quarter of 2011. There’s no mention of any price yet but I’m sure it ain’t going to be cheap. We haven’t really seen any flagship Android phone from LG here in the Philippines (the Optimus One is mid-range) so I’m hoping LG Philippines will change that next quarter by bringing in the Optimus 2X.
How much is this right now? ‘ dec 21 2011 ‘
magkano ba to!? how much!?

How much is this right now?
Re: 4G. Ain’t no such thing yet, folks, if a network provider claims they’re offering 4G, they’re lying through their teeth. If a phone claims to provide 4G capabilities, run as far away from them, as fast as you can. The International Telecommunications Union (ITU) defines 4G as IMT-Advanced — which only WiMAX 2 and LTE-Advanced are capable of providing. Nevertheless, the ITU is “capitulating”, meaning that they’re … admitting that the term “4G” realistically could apply “to the forerunners of these technologies, LTE and WiMAX, and to other evolved 3G technologies providing a substantial level of improvement in performance and capabilities with respect to the initial third generation systems now deployed.” (http://www.engadget.com/2010/12/18/itu-capitulates-admits-that-the-term-4g-could-apply-to-lte-w/ ). Still, 4G is 4G, and WiMax and LTE are *not* 4G.
HTC Droid Thunderbolt! beat that it has a 4G ! and the new nokia phone this 2011 will be super! Intel and Nokia team up. :D this will be GREAT! haha…
haha.. buti pa sa ilo2x nag extend ang sale ng optimus one hanggang maubos ang stock, nag extend sila kasi konti lang bumili ng phone within the sale time. di ko nga alam na may sale eh, 1 pm ko na nalaman na may sale nung pumunta kami ng mall, with no hesitation bumili kami agad :)
Using p500 optimus one now. Lasts two days on regular use. Satisfied LG customer. Im just wondering why nobody wants to “boycott” apple or globe for the initial limited offer of the iPhone 4. Pila din naman. Hindi din naman nakakuha lahat.
.QUAD core
Dual core? Hmmm parang way to qyad core din ang mga phone ha. Maybe soon meron na din sticker ang mga phone na “Intel Inside” or AMD hehehe
2G…3G…4G…I remember once sa front page ng yahoo.com base on studies, parang hoax daw yung mga naglalagay ng 4G kasi wala pa daw umaabot sa ganun speed, i just cant remember lang when was that posted, perhaps 3 weeks ago.
LG…hay! Sana wag na nilang gawin yang 1 hour sale nila, gawin na lang nilang one day sale. Maybe tumaas pa sales nila if that is their plan.
It’s the best compared to Galaxy S, but for 1500mAh battery? yun lang…
what about the Lg mach?
@riccillego
dual core chips are more efficient in cycling power. But yes, 1500mAh for a smartphone with 4 inches sounds like suicide.
A month or so after release may 3rd party battery na para sa Optimus 2x for sure.
