Motorola announced yet another Android phone, but this time, it’s a little different and not as ambitious as the Milestone. The Motorola BackFlip practically flips in reverse.

Motorola BackFlip
3.1″ screen @ 320×480 pixels
Full QWERTY keyboard
Qualcomm 528 MHz CPU
256MB RAM
HSDPA 7.2Mbps
WiFi 802.11 b/g
Bluetooth 2.1 w/ A2DP
up to 32GB microSD card
5MP autofocus camera w/ LED flash
24fps video recording
GPS with aGPS support
Li-Ion 1400 mAh
No as powerful the the Droid but still an interesting one. The phone has Android OS 1.5 installed but can be easily upgraded to 2.0 when available.

If you looked at the photos closely, the full qwerty keyboard is on the other side of the phone but flips into typing position when rotated 180-degrees. That means the keyboard is exposed in the open at the back unlike the usual design where it’s hidden inside. The other side of the keyboard also serves as some sort of a touch panel.
No pricing information is available but said to be released in Asia by first quarter of 2010.
