Just announced — the Nokia 5230 looks like the old 5800 XpressMusic minus the WiFi feature and it’s not even under the XM series. Besides, the cheaper 5530 XM is already out.
So it looks like Nokia is bringing on the platoon with several full touchscreen phones this year. The 5800XM was still a bit on the expensive end but with the cheaper Nokia 5230 and the 5530XM, things should get interesting.

The Nokia 5230 3.2 inch screen with a resolution of 360×640 pixels and supports handwriting recognition, an accelerometer and proximity sensor. There’s no WiFi but you get 3G/HSDPA 3.6Mbps, AGPS, Bluetooth and FM Tuner. For most phone users, lack of WiFi is a deal-breaker.

Battery is rated at 1320mAh. Internal storage is only 70MB but you can plug in up to 16GB of microSD card.
Coming out at the end of the year, and according to GSM Arena, the Nokia 5230 could fetch somewhere around Php10 to Php11k.
