Samsung B2100 Xplorer

I seldom see military-grade phones these days but the Samsung B2100 Xplorer is as rugged as any phone can get — both in land and under water.

The phone is pretty basic with just Bluetooth, a 1.3MP camera and FM tuner as its main features. Despite the lack of features, I’m pretty sure people who loves the outdoors will also love this phone.

Shock-resistant, water-resistant and dust-resistant (complies with European IP57 and US Military Standard 810F)
Water-proof up to 1 meter that lasts 30 minutes
Made of anti-shock materials (i.e. Urethane)
Noise cancellation with dedicated microphone
Flashlight with dedicated key

Placed it inside the aquarium for about 5 minutes with the flashlight on. You can even do some texting while it’s submerged in water. Of course, there’s that 1-meter limit so you can’t really bring it under on a diving trip.

Still, with a 1.3MP camera that can also record videos, you can snap a couple of shots or capture a short video while in the water. Suggested retail price is Php6,500.

im using this phone :) bagay nga sa mga taong outdoors. features are fine.

    :) astig!

Does anyone know when Samsung b2700 will be sold here in the Philippines? I read it’s also shock resistant and also has a flashlight like b2100 but only splash proof. Plus it has digital compass, altimeter, pedometer and 2 MP camera. It also has a front camera for video calling. I still cant decide whether to buy b2100 or b2700 because b2700 aint for sale yet here in Phils. My mind’s made up with b2100, but when I saw b2700 in the internet with its additional features, I was so confused. Both phones have cameras, flashlights, rugged designs, music and radios. But b2100 is cheaper and waterproof. B2700 is more expensive and only splash proof but has 2mp camera and pedometer, compass, altimeter. Both are meant for rough handling. And b2700 aint here in Phils yet. So will I buy b2100 instead? But I will sacrifice b2700’s fetures like compass, altimeter, videocalling, pedometer. PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME WHEN B2700 WILL BE FOR SALE IN THE PHILIPPINES!
