hmmm yes, I agree with desert_punk, syempre iba parin yung fever ng Starcraft dati. Malamang bawas na yun ngayon.

Pero, naman! TO COMPARE IT WITH DOTA?

LOLIPOWN: I didn’t whine. It’s a declaration. From an avid Starcraft fan who bought 10 (base + brood war).

ULV: As I’ve said, I’m an avid SC fan. Even way back when Battle.net was referred to as B.net .. Sorry to disappoint you, but my utter disappointment that led to my declaration doesn’t mean that I’m too poor (jologs?) to afford buying.

Well, I just loved the previous game version because it is a complete balanced Real Time Strategy game, wherein you can still win in spite of lower unit number, just a brilliant strategy is all you need… Unlike some new RTS games wherein number of units really predicts the battle results, and some had tricks/Easter eggs.

I hope that the new release will retain this game’s unyielding reputation in RTS world.

12gb is insane, especially since this is just the Terran campaign. I’m guessing it’s 6-10gb for the campaign-specific files (since the ahem…beta was around 2gb) so we’re looking at around 30gb when the Zerg and Protoss campaigns roll around. Crazy.

@yuga

I believe Data Blitz will be start giving copies to those who pre-ordered on July 27 as displayed on their posters. July 28 is for people who weren’t able to pre-order their copy. :)

@Marg

They removed LAN because to curb piracy. I’ve been playing the Starcraft 2 Beta where the server is located in the US. I have experienced minimal to no lag using a decent broadband connection (pldt 999). Some people are able to play the game even with a 384kbps connection.

I only have 256MB video card and 2.4Ghz CPU on vista. SC2 beta runs good, i just need a reliable cooling fan or it will shutdown after 5 mins of playing.

I think this requirement is dwarfed by the NBA2K10 system requirements.

Tingnan n’yo o .. isa sa mga requirements .. kailangan ng broadband internet. Para sa multiplayer option yan.

Reply
MA
Marg · 16 years ago

I boycott Starcraft II. Walang LAN multiplayer option! Kailangan mo mag-connect sa Battle.NET ng Blizzard para makapag-multiplayer.

Bulok pa naman mga ISP dito sa atin sa ‘Pinas.

I believe what will come out will be a WinMac version, thus there will be only one package for both Win & Mac, just like the previous Starcraft and Warcraft I & II.

Don’t worry about the steep HDD space requirement, its a compensation for the low gpu requirement. Newer games with low system requirements usually needs large hdd space which is good imo for moderate gamers. And these are great games too.

too bad kailangan mo nang matinding upgrade specs para gawing Gaming PC uli yan, pero baka mabagot ka sa kakalaro, pero sana i-time management ang paglalaro mo, sana i-beta testing din yan sa netbooks

Pretty sane requirements except for the 12GB HDD requirement. Hard disk storage is cheap but those are pretty steep multimedia file requirements for a single game.

ciao!

it’s funny when the minimum requirements for a P4 motherboard needs a PCIe video card… diba wala pang PCIe slots sa P4 boards dati? hehe

buhay nanaman ang Starcraft! yes!
