So here it is, fresh from its flight from Hong Kong last night — the 11.6″ Acer Timeline 1810TZ. It’s got the same design and form factor as the slower Acer Aspire One AO751 but is powered by an Intel Pentium Dual Core SU4100.
Acer Timeline 1810TZ is like a cross between the Timeline series and the Aspire One series. Not sure when this model will reach the Philippines but the’ve been released in HK for just two weeks only.
Specs include an Intel Pentium Dual Core SU4100 at 1.3GHz, 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD, Intel GMA 4500M (796MB @ 1366×768), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, HDMI port, Bluetooth and a 6-cell battery that can last up to 8 hours. The battery does not protrude much at the back unlike the AO751.
The unit comes pre-installed with Windows 7 (Windows Experience Index gives it a nice 3.2 score).
Like the other Acer Timeline notebooks, this one does not come cheap. Price was USD$750 or about Php35,000 at the Duty Free of HKIA.

ouch at the price for a 12-incher. meron bang core 2 duo version like su9400 and upgradeable to 4GB RAM? talaga bang hindi intel GM9400HD yan? i really like their timeline series basta core2duo.
Been drooling for this as I *want* an ultra portable to bring everywhere. But it is still too expensive if bought away from US grounds…
Will wait for your review!
sir yuga, can you do a comparison of the available dual core or higher culv 10-12inch note/netbooks around. i’ve been contemplating on buying a culv but obviously it would be great to have powerful processors and better graphics. so if you can, would you please. thanks in advance.
ito ba yung “shell type” na tinatawag nila? d batt is not protruding.. cool!
Nice purchase, I hope you can do a comprehensive review especially on 720p ~ 1080p HD video playback
I’ve also been contemplating on getting the 1810TZ as well but the price is just a bit high for me (Php 35K at TipidPC). I’m praying that the distros here in the Philippines will carry this model as well. Or at the very least bring in the 11-inch dual core models from Gateway.
I’m still waiting for that “optimum” 11-inch or 12-inch netbook. Currently on the lookout for these models to be available here:
HP Pavilion DM1, Asus EeePC 1201, Dell Inspiron 11z, MSI U230
*sigh*
hey.. do you know where store is that avaiable here in the philippines?? pls email me @ dericnal@yahoo.com thanks
