Acer pulls out Aspire One 532G off the shelves

The Acer Aspire One 532g is supposed to be the first 10-inch netbook to sport the NVidia Ion platform (GeForce 9400M) but it looks like Acer has pull the units out of store shelves too early.

Saw this unit being sold at Villman Online along with the Aspire One AO521 but quickly disappeared that very same day.

Didn’t bother looking for it until today when stories about Acer USA mentioning the release of the Aspire One 532G will not b pushed thru.

The specs are pretty decent IMO:

Acer Aspire One AO532G
Intel Atom N450 @ 1.66GHz
10.1″ display screeb@ 1024×600 pixels
2GB DDR2 RAM
320GB HDD
NVidia Ion Graphics
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth 2.1
Card Reader
0.3MP webcam
3 x USb 2.0 ports
6-cell 4400mAh battery

So I went back and did a search on VillMan Online and saw this:

However, Google cache showed the unit was available a couple of weeks back:

The price is a little steep though, at Php26,892. It’s unsure why Acer would pull-out what could have been a good netbook. However, I think it’s possible that a few units are still out there somewhere (Gilmore perhaps?).

was intrigued as well since adding an ION means a good deal of boost if you plan on watching 1080p video and light 3d gaming (albeit this one might have a lower clockspeed to control the heat and power consumpt)

    Found this later after googling:
