I’have been using for a few months now, the LCD is of higher resolution then normal. It is impressive hybrid and cannot be compared to a desktop PC. There is no ‘noise’ of whatsoever. It is ’space saving’ on your desktop, has 4 usb 2.0 behind, 2 usb on the left edge, and a cool ‘usb’ as well under the ‘keyboard ‘. It is indeed a class of its own.

This looks promising. A lot of solutions can be developed for this platform, product info kiosk, registration kiosk and other interactive solutions delivery applications.

I’ll wait for it to go down to the 20 to 30k range

i think the proce for their new model is quite fair for the quality and durability of the product. There must be a reason why the price is that high. There may be some specifications that needs to be explained.

LOL @ Swarovski crystals. My carebear has Swarovski crystals in its eyes LOL.

The demo is cute. I wonder what happened to the microsoft surface. I thought that would be the epitome of what touchscreens should be. I’ve never heard about it again.

The HP touch screens are also pretty cool, but of course, they’re 2x more expensive.

Asus Eee Top ET1603 is more attractive, because of its touch screen feature. If that thing could support windows 7, that will be great.

@BrianB – the Asus Eee PC S101 is a 10.2″ netbook. The Asus Eee Top ET16 is an Atom-powered desktop PC. Song is Shake It by Metro Station.

Exactly, when Asus execs were asked about the prices, they practically responded by pointing to the other cheaper models. In a sense, the S101 are for those with discerning taste (but that’s just my interpretation).
