I did that the same thing on an old PII box a few years ago for one week converting 13 episodes of Lain Serial experiments. But then, it was plain VCD.

The videohelp site should have the answers. Don't remember the entire process, but it involved tools such as virtualdub, and the always excellent TMPGENC. Topnotch quality, kahit na VCD. Customizable, infinitely bigger resolution than commercially available VCD's.

Yeah, I am also interested on tools that can convert divx/xvid video formats into the more decompressed files. You see, I am still using my 500Mhz AMD K6-2 PC (I know, its too old); thus, it can no longer play the xvid movies. Can anyone help? c",?

SVCD is basically just authored MPEG. The same is true with DVD. Check out www.videohelp.com. Conversion isn't as easy as it should be. There are many ways to do the conversion, and a lot of software you can use. There are software out there that will do everything for you.
