Sony doesn’t make the smallest laptops; Fujitsu does with their LifeBook U series. The latest one is this Fujitsu LifeBook U2010 Ultra Portable that runs on an Atom Z530 1.6GHz CPU.
5.6-inch display screen @ 1280×800 pixels with touch screen
1GB DDR2 533MHz
60GB HDD or 64GB SSD
Bluetooth 2.1
SD card reader
CF card slot
WiFi 802.11n
1.3MP camera
Battery Options:
2-cell Li-Ion 2900mAh: 3.5 hours on HDD, 4 hours on SSD
4-cell Li-Ion 5800mAh: 7.5 hours on HDD, 8.5 hours on SSD
Weighs just 0.61kg (1.34 lbs) with the standard 2-cell battery. The swivel base, touchscreen and stylus combo makes this the smallest ultraportable tablet we’ve seen. And the price — Php69,995 (in the same neighborhood as the Sony Vaio P).
I used to own the U1010 model. yeah it cost an arm, leg, and kidney. but the feeling i get when mac users hide their fruit units in shame is worth every peso i spent.
too expensive for a netbook like that; :)
its not so expensive!!! i bought one from
http://www.ipmart.com/main/search.php?in=668&find=fujitsu+u2010 only 724$
The problem is that is too slow because of the vista, but the quality is excellent and the display
is fantastic!! Better with XP!!!
enjoy typing and watching while the 70k denominations are swirling around your head.
You never heard of the m1 mbook?

i can buy 3 netbooks with this price, better specs and more features,I think it will be very hard to work on this size of screen…
do you have any suggestions on the best net book available? working on a 20-25k budget…hopefully one with high resolution.
thanks!
OMG..that a nice laptop..its to expensive..
how can i have one for free?hehehe
anyway it a nice laptop thats all..
ahhmm for me sony vaio P is much better than this. Lifebook U2010 Display Screen have only 5.6 inch only and Sony Vaio P have 8 inch, in memory U2010 have only 1Gb and Sony Vaio P have 2Gb, and in the looks sony vaio p is the winner.. peace to all Life book users..

the specs is much of a netbook except the resolution at 5.6inch it’s like Kindle. Still I think it’s not comfortable working with that size.
Oh c’mon, who’s gonna buy that netbook with that price?!
this is exactly what i’m talkin’ about. netbooks evolving like tablets and tablets evolving like netbooks.
soon, we’ll be seeing 14inch netbooks and, in an effort to brag power efficiency feature, notebook will sport with Intel Atom processor.
lifestyle device for the filthy rich.
ciao!
“gasp”…5.6 inch screen worth almost 70k…OMG
