will Windows 7 beta run on a Pentium M 1.5ghz with only 224mb ram...

i have a computer with dual-core processor but i want to test it myself since my family uses the computer a lot, my big sister will complain if there's an error and she would like me to return WinXP x64...

and i have no choice but to follow her, she's in college and she needs a comfortable-to-use computer..

she even hates office 2007... because she is afraid of learning new things about computer..
she still prefer office2003 or officeXP

i hope Windows 7 will run on a Pentium M Laptop with JUST 224MB

Get temperature monitoring installed Yuga. When I put the Windows 7 beta on my M912, temps shot up after about 30 minutes.

BTW, that slide out keyboard is also, basically, available on Vista. Win7 just make sit a bit more present.

hmmm, how about the drivers for the touchscreen? will they still work after the installation? that's my main concern for the M912

Looks like Microsoft has done something good this time around.

If this would go on, Windows 7 could definitely renew MS and get rid of the curse of Vista.

Went very well actually without any problems. I used an external DVD drive to install the OS and took about 3 hours since I just left it alone.

Well, MS is touting 7 as having better touch functionality for these kinds of laptops, so it's good to see it in action.
