Lenovo IdeaCentre B500: 23″ All-in-One PC

Listen to article

The other night, Lenovo introduced their new All -in-One PC and their first ever Core i7 powered gaming notebook. They’ve got the A600 and C300 series and it’s now complete with the IdeaCentre B500.

The B500’s design is inspired by the Transformers, according to Lenovo executives (saw some hints of it). This model will have a 23-inch display with full 1080p resolution (1920×1080 pixels).

The IdeaCentre B500 will have Core 2 Quad processors, up to 8GB RAM, 1 TB HDD, a DVD or Blu-Ray drive with option for a built-in TV tuner. The graphics card is an NVidia GeForce GTS 250 with 1GB RAM and similar flavors. The built-in speakers are powered by JBL. Comes with Windows 7 pre-installed.

Accessories includes wireless keyboard and mouse, remote control that also acts as a motion-drive games controller and a VOIP handset.

The rig will be available starting January 2010 and will have a suggested retail price of Php49,000+ and up (depending on specs). Windows Experience Index gives the low-end model a score of 5.9 (c/o the HDD).

Oh myy. Seriously, I regret paying for my Core 2 Quad PC HP Pavilion that cost Php64,000 to me.

Arghhh! I’m craving for this one! I only wish if I could turn back time.

LOL. Seriously, the price is just right for those features, in fact it’s kinda has a *cheap* price.

I love to have this one!

It’s a good bargain. Though for the same price tag you could a MacBook, but hey, it’s a Lenovo so it’ll do.

The 1080p resolution is a big come-on. But if the SRP of Php49+k doesn’t include the Blu-Ray drive, then I’d rather get one of those 32″ LCD-TVs instead, for that 1080p reso. The Blu-Ray can wait.

Although not really a gaming rig, this thing is still hot and will make your PC home entertainment system rise to a new level.
