Shuttle has been developing its XPC series for years now and they keep on adding new features to their product lines. Aside from the portability which is great for LAN parties, they have media center PCs to boot — the latest one, the Glamour D10 that has a built-in 7-inch touch screen LCD panel.

What can you dunk into this rig?
- Intel Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Duo E4000 series, Dual-Core E2000 series or Celeron 400 series
- 2 x 2GB DDR2 667/800MHz RAM (max capacity of 4GB)
- Intel GMA 3100 256bit (up to 384MB shared video memory)
- Realtek ALC662 5.1 channel audio
- 100Mb/1Gb LAN
- 2 SATA + 1 IDE for HDD
- CD/DVD-ROM
Comes in Windows XP or Vista but you can basically install any OS in it. Shuttle provides an optional remote control to operate the multimedia functions of the device or you can just use the touch-screen LCD panel. You can hook up the VGA port to your TV in your living room making the Shuttle D10 an alternative entertainment center ( though I wish there’s HDMI output as well).
The issue with Shuttle/XPC though is that they’re pretty expensive at the moment. Local distributor/resellers like PC Shack and Qube offers them at a starting price of Php25,599 for a bare minimum specs of a Celeron 430 1.8GHz, 512MB RAM, 80GB HDD, a CDRW drive and 4-in-1 card reader.

I don’t like the design, it looks like a mini component.. or the radio with tv thing that i saw on jeepneys
They already been selling this think since 3 months ago. Did see it in flesh. I like the idea. It has another port for a bigger monitor. If I just want to listen to music I’ll just use the builtin LCD no need for the bigger monitor.
Why would you want an LCD on your desktop? Get a laptop instead of this.

ouch! just the bare minimum for so much? at a little more for that price i could just buy myself a nice netbook or a cheap laptop.

Clearly, the idea needs refinement. Lots of it.
Perhaps it was meant to be media center for home use. Why else would they slap an LCD screen on it?
Then again for that price tag? I’d get an XBOX 360 or a PS3 instead.

Netbook wars are on the rise, big brands & local assemblers are gearing up for the huge market.. better features for every month, lower price per spec & most importantly mobility..
and shuttle bolted a LCD touchscreen..

Shuttle..i have a rechargeble flashlght, fm am radio, E fan & tv in one little neat box..
Beat that huh..
na-ah! it’s not worth it!..till now i’m dissatisfied with my shuttle xpc.
