This came in today in the package, the only tablet PC in the netbook market — the Gigabyte M912. Earlier reported back in July and spotted last month during the Intel Atom launch, check out the unboxing pics after the jump.
The Gigabyte M912 came with a stylus though it’s not attached to the laptop with a string or anything (unlike the HP tablets I’ve used before).
Specs include — Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz, 1GB DDR2 667MHz RAM, 160GB HDD Fujitsu, WiFi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.0, 8.9″ touchscreen at 1280×768 resolution , 3 USB 2.0 slots, Express Card slot, SD Card reader, 1.3 MP CMOS camera and runs on Windows Vista Home Basic.
This netbook is already available in the market (BuyQube) with a retail price of about Php29,999. Full review will come out in a week or two so watch out for that.

Good pricing they have. Somehow good for a touchscreen netbook. But don’t buy just yet since there’ll be Touchscreen Eee PC early next year. So watch out for it as well.

is the ram upgradeable to 2gb & above? ‘coz running it with just 1gb and with vista basic installed will make this netbook crawl.
@paul, unlike the other netbooks which are very hard to upgrade, the Gigabyte chassis works like your regular notebook so the RAM and HDD can be easily replaced or upgraded.
@paul, i’ve been using the Gigabyte M912 since August with Vista Home Basic and 1GB of RAM. i’m very happy to say that it works very well! it doesn’t crawl at all, and it can even play some of my HD videos. thanks to Intel Atom of course. i’m thinking of upgrading it to Vista Home Premium and see if it can still work with 1GB of RAM

i am considering buying this model. anyway, i have a few questions first. what’s the average battery life? is the keyboard and trackpad responsive?
i also want to ask if there is an option for an upgrade to an extended battery for this model? having more than 3 hours worth of juice would be nice
