Interesting post which made pleasant reading. I struggle with my new DSLR but lucky there are an abundance of resources out on the WWW. I have found a couple of sites that so far havetaught me quite a lot. Comes down to experimentation doesn’t it? No more paying for film processing anymore.

Hey there! I’m planning to buy EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM but i’m looking for a less price of it, i’m just a student and i’m not yet earning money. This is the problem with the Canon cameras. Lenses arent cheap and IS is not built-in with the camera body.

Go with Pentax cameras, cheap lenses, in-body IS, water/dust proof design. I highly recommend the pentax k100d or if the have the buck, k10d or the newer models k200d and k20d.

The 85 1.2L is a specific function lens – it doesn’t focus very fast (not as fast as my 85 1.8, at least), and the 1.2 gives you very, very shallow DoF – but it’s a dream to use. It’s a lovely portait lens, and definitely a piece that a wedding photographer would love to have.
