I’ve been a Canon fan for years. So every time there’s a new dSLR model coming up, I get excited as well as a bit sad since it reminds me that my own gear is growing old. This is the same feeling I have with the announcement of the Canon 50D.
The 15.1 megapixel camera supports an ISO of 12800 (awesome for very low light conditions).

- DIGIC 4 image processor
- ISO 100 - 12800 support
- 3.0-inch LCD Live View with face detection
- HDMI output
- 6.3fps burst mode
The camera kit includes a Canon’s EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens. Coming out this October 2008 for $1,399 (body only) or $1,599 with kit.
The Nikon D90 has some serious competition again.

The latest Nikon cameras are getting better and beating Canon.

you are crazy about camera
This one is up against the D300 not the D90.
canon 5d vs. nikon d700 (full frame semi-pro cams)
canon 30/40/50d vs. nikon d100/200/300
canon 350/400/450d vs. nikon d40x/d60
nikon d80 and d90 seem to be out of place.
DIGIC 4? If I only wan’t under an NDA. Hehehe.
Wow, my 20D looks lame.
Finally, a good kit lens! No more crappy 18-55 kit lens!
