I agree with the content that you just posted, some people who are almost on popularity category they tend to lessen their post maybe because they taught being popular is what it takes and don’t need to wrote up a good content I mean a content which reliable and has sense.

I agree with the other comment regarding about blogging since their opinion are similar to what I am gonna write up here.

Hi, I was just jumping from one blog to another then I saw this entry of yours from last year.

Hmm, being a famous blogger/blog means that besides being famous, one must have the right “tools”: Connections (friends, acquaintances, good DSL, good server…in other words, enough “physical, non-virtual resource” to maintain the site ), familiarity with the language, and the “appropriate” personality. (Ergo, I submit to a fact that internet is just another space and time where we can transfer what we have in the “real” world. This is also a question of taste.)

And of course the passion to do it.

Some bloggers just don’t get it. Some blogs just stay stagnant.

i cant avoid to be struck by the popularity of some bloggers but it still goes down to the quality of posts they produce. if i dont find the contents interesting i wont visit the site again

I’d say both. If the blog has content I’m interested in and if I like the blogger.

Definitely content for me. I discontinue the feed if the blog begins to bore me.

As far as my blog goes, I don’t write unless I have some kind of news, review, inspiration, etc. So far I average four or five entries a week.

i read blogs because of the content. for example, i read techcrunch because of the news posted there, not because of arrington.
it’s kinda confusing for happyslip though because she’s famous. i am subscribed to her blog because i want to be updated with her vlogs. she’s not the best writer in the world, but im subscribed to her.

I want to read somebody that not everyone else is reading. OK, OK, I read a few popular bloggers like Abe, but odds are, if you’re popular, I tend not to subscribe.

Any content can be compelling. I actually don’t really understand when people that say it’s the content that makes them decide to read a blog. It’s usually something about the person writing that often causes me to subscribe.

Hi Abe,

Both ways work for me. Some people I admire, say for their leadership skills and are popular for it, when they open a blog I’m come rushing and adding them to my feeds. Sometimes, they don’t provide good contents, but I add them anyway just to keep track with what’s going on in their minds. But most of the times, they do provide great content.

I also, for most cases, read blogs simply because the content is great and appeals to my interest.

I added you in my feed a couple of months ago for the reason that you’re both popular and provide great content.

I think the content matters the most but of course the blogger comes second. Syempre ang pangit naman kung snob yung writer and doesn’t accept criticisms (good or bad).

Then you get glued to a blog.. visit it regularly, subscribe to it’s feeds.

The content/blog initially hooks me. Then the blogger keeps me.

It’s hard to consistently publish great content, so bloggers who can establish a certain connection with readers will be able to retain them.
