Where will Palm land — Nokia or Motorola?

Listen to article

Reports have been spreading that Palm, Inc. will be acquired real soon and it could be announced in the next 12 to 24 hours.

The likely buyers are Nokia and Motorola, along with several other private firms. So, which one do you think is it? Are we looking at a Nokia Palm or a Motorola Palm anytime soon?

I think I’ll go with the hunches at GigaOM and say Motorola needs Palm more than Nokia does.

Motorola Palm
Motorola + Palm = Mapalm

Nokia Palm
Nokia + Palm = Napalm (see, not a good mix :D )

Ok, I just made them up and they sound corny.

I’ve had my Pre because shortly soon after launch and am glad to discover (by means of this forum) that I can now set a ring tone on incoming text messages and can research by way of e-mails and this kind of. Now is there any hope for an upcoming launch in which I can look for my calendar? Would make my career very much easier, obtaining dates of final appointments. No other complaints, except that yesterday I was in and out of Sprint program (not unusual). I feel I used to be roaming, and looked at my calendar. Every little thing from the calendar was one hour earlier than what I had input. The clock was just one hour early as properly. I used to be scared to death–then, when we got back into Sprint program again, every thing was normalized. Has this happened to any person else?? Hunting forward to answers, but please bear in mind, I’m no techie and speak English rather than technospeak.

oh man… i’m going back to Nokia phones again?

A sad turn of event for Palm but I will keep my Treo 650 for as long as I can… A TreoLinux project is on the way and I can’t wait to try it when I’m confident that it will not trash my phone haha

Hahaha .. natawa din ako dun .. corny din pala ako

I’m not much of a palm fan myself but I’m very interested in the turn of events. For me it’s gonna be more exciting if Nokia gets Palm.

Symbian based Palm devices … Mmmmm .. although it’ll more likely go the way of Linux much like their N770.
