Microsoft’s Bing Search Engine

Microsoft may have found the right formula for their search service. Their Bing search engine gives some pretty promising results.

Microsoft have had many attempts at making search right and while Bing is fairly new, it’s noticeably better than its previous iterations. It loads fast and results are fairly relevant (although much fewer results compared to Google and Yahoo).

bing

They will still be hard-pressed to cut a sizable amount of user searches but at least Bing doesn’t turn off people away like the Live search used to.

Better late than never.

the question now would be, why? oh well time for microsoft to start integrating its search engine with its OS and browsers and everything and move people away from Google

As much as I like Google, I hate getting monopolized so a new search engine is always welcome to me. And Bing actually looks really useful and better in some ways to Google search. They just need more time to index more pages so there’ll be more relevant results. I use it now for quick searches.

Microsoft is playing catch up again but Google’s already changed the game with Google Wave.

I don’t think Bing can catch up with Google. I got so used to Google that I don’t want to try anything else. And I believe that most people would agree with me.

I tried to check my position for some of the popular keywords on my blog and I can’t even see it anywhere on Bing.

Anyway, if they’ll be successful, I still don’t like the sound of it…
A: Where did you read about that news?
B: I can’t remember eh. Just Bing it.

LOLz. “I Binged my popular keywords but my site’s not on the results eh.”

yeah suddenly, Windows decides they need to get into search again, after how many tries. Microsoft just doesn’t get the web, they need to stick to fixing Windows. As much as I wish there was another competitor, Yahoo isn’t much competition either….

Why doesn’t Bing appear right with my connection? It only shows me a rebranded LIVE search and not the real Bing website. Is my case an isolated case?

  23. Gravatar Icon Huwow replied on Jun 10th, 2009 at 4:17 am (23)
