Welcome to the Smart GPRS or 3G tutorial page. The information below will help you and guide in setting up your phone for GPRS or 3G connection. It will also show you how to hook up your PC or laptop to any Smart 3G-enabled phone:
Download Smart GPRS settings:
Step 1: Using your 3G handset, go to Tools > Settings > Network Mode > select Dual Mode.
Step 2: Activate your handset by texting Set 3G
Step 3: Save Settings sent by 333. Key in 1234 when prompted.
If you have a Nokia 6120, that’s “SET 3G N6230”
To download Smart MMS phone settings:
Key in SET MMS and send to 211.
To download SMART GPRS phone settings:
Key in SET GPRS and send to 211.
Example: If you have a Nokia 6230, that’s “SET MMS N6230”
[tags]activate smart gprs settings, smart gprs activation, free smart gprs activation, free smart gprs activation, samsung, sony-ericsson, lg, motorola, iphone[/tags]
Note:
The configuration settings will be sent to your phone. You will need to select “Save All” to save the settings in the phone. Some MMS and GPRS handsets already have pre-loaded phone settings.
Activation of MMS and GPRS will require a confirmation message from Smart. A message will be sent to the sub once the feature has been activated.

how about a china phone?! for common models it is easy network provider will just send the settings. but for china phones that are capable of gprs i beleive you need to configure it first by yourself. when you call their customer service ther is no help at all. hope you can help me. thanks much!

i have a Samsung Omnia and using a SMART SIM.
I dont know how to set-up the MMS settings on the phone.
The customer care hotline said there is no available MMS settings for download.
Is there a way that I can manually configure it?
(just like what i did on my Nokia express music, I manually set the MMS on the phone)

I have a LG KU990 or “LG Viewty” and im trying to activate the MMS and i have smart buddy sim. But everytime i send one to 211 it says it doesn’t support this model of phones. Can you please let me know if you know any way to do it please.

i just got samsung L700. after texting 211 they said that L700 is not supported by smart for 3g. why is it so? according to samsung before the phone was published it was tested by smart, globe and sun.
Is 3g really just about signal stuff and does not depend on the service provider (smart, globe)?

Nice tut. My MSI U123 has a 3G slot for the SIM card, how do I connect to the internet by inserting the Smart Bro SIM card into the 3G slot at the back of the MSI U123.

you can type N70,N95, etc, instead of using n3600
type SET N70 send to 211,,, then you will a configuration settings
type the pin 1234 then ok….

i need help…. i bought my phone in barcelona samsung sgh-g600 model and it is o2 active upon buying it. i want to change my network. im a smart user. i did try calling smart cust service to activate my mms/gprs setting. a did follow their instructions & save the settings. but somehow it still appears my browser o2 active. pls anyone do help me configure my phone.

Hello and NEED HELP:
I have a 3G iPhone UNLOCKED. Smart Sim is in. Can make/receive calls and SMS.
Can’t connect to the internet and can’t get the settings from Smart.
