A Thousand MMS Later

Last June 17, I was one of the very first few bloggers who posted the “Hello Garci” ring tones which featured the voices of GMA and Garcilliano.

I even offered to send out the ring tones to visitors via MMS (of course, with a Smart Pasaload just to keep the cycle going). It’s been over three weeks now and I still get requests for ringtones on a daily basis. I did not keep an exact count but I am sure it’s well over a thousand MMS that have been sent over the weeks.

Request for ring tones went as far down as Basilan to across the Pacific ocean in Australia.

And with it, comes some notable and funny messages (text in parenthesis are mine):

• “Ring tone ko.” (demanding!) :D
• “Sir, hello po, pangarap ko magkaroon HELLO GARCI ringtone.”
• “You know what, I’m one of the older generations so i will ask my kids to do it for me.”
• “Please send me the ring tone of hello garci. I am desperate. I am from australia and I can’t download it.”
• “Gud morning. I hope u r a boy. Please send me ur picture.. my f0ne is n3200, and I cann0t accept videos..”
• “Got my msg? Pls send me a picture without a shirt.. :-) hehe. Gud am.”
• “Send mo naman yung ring tone. U should do your responsibility.”
• “Hi, can i be ur txtm8?” (mahal po ang load)

Makes my day complete. hehehe :D
