South Korean wireless telecommunications operator, SK Telecom, has launched in its home country its new mobile internet service called LTE-A Pro which is capable of up to 500Mbps download speeds.

In a report by ZDNet dated last month, Choi Seung-won, Senior Vice President of SK Telecom’s infrastructure strategy division, said that LTE-A Pro is “about 7 times faster than the original LTE service, through its five band carrier aggregation.” He also added that LTE-A Pro “will be a bridgehead for development of 5G technology.”
The company is not stopping there though, as it is planning to launch 1Gbps connection by 2019.

What caught my attention was “five band aggregation”.
Wow, anu-anong mga frequency bands gamit nila. And swerte naman ng mga telco dun, andaming licensed spectrum for them.
