Bargain hunting with Dealighted

We’d like to pause for a moment to earn a living and do this Sponsored Review from Dealighted.

DealightedThe site is pretty simple. It aggregates all kinds of deals from all over, like forums and sites such as Slickdeals, Fatwallet, and Anandtech, and presents it in a list, ala-Digg style based on how many people viewed and commented on the item. Popular deals will be highlighted and showcased on top of the front page. Basically, it helps you find fresh new online deals, coupons, and free stuff each day. They also have a product price comparison engine and the idea sounds good as I haven’t seen anything like this before (though I’m sure someone has thought of something this in the past with a different approach/implementation). No need to scour forums and sites to do your bargain hunting because Dealighted’s spiders will crawl all of them for you. That’s over 600 deals each day so far. IMO, home page works well in trying to weed out the bad deals and only show those truly hot deals.

A tag cloud is available to find out which type of product or gadget are available and on bargain with each listed item showing notes how long the deal has been shown, how many viewed it and users replied. Shoemoney (who also did a review) mentioned that their business model is more likely taking on Affiliates and Google AdSense though I don’t agree that ad position for AdSense was well optimized. Which brings us to the presentation — the layout, though simple, reminds me of Amazon but I think it’s still too cluttered. Too many things to look at all at the same time and I believe it needs to be worked on a little bit more.

Disclosure: This is a sponsored review from ReviewMe. Back to our regular programming. =)
