Because of the lackluster sales of its Eluga line of handsets, Panasonic had to take a step back from making Android smartphone. To fully maximize its fairly large sensor, Panasonic paired it with a fast Leica DC Elmarit lens that has an aperture of f/2.8 at its widest and can go all the way up to f/11. Other notable features of Panasonic’s new device include a 4.7-inch display with 1080p resolution, 2600mAh battery and a connectivity suite comprising of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC. The new Panasonic Lumix DMC-CM1 will initially be available in Germany and France starting on the November and will be retailed for €899. Towards the latter part of last week, Panasonic launched their new bridge camera called the Lumix FZ1000 which has a 16x Leica DC Vario-Elmarit Optical Zoom lens which is paired to a 20.1MP image sensor that is capable of recording videos with 4K resolution at 30fps and Full-HD clips at 120fps. Panasonic has announced a new wearable camera that is capable of shooting 4K videos at 25fps - the HX-A500. The Panasonic HX-A500 aims to be the companion of a frequent traveler or outdoorsman who want to record their activities in ultra high-def.
