Toyota just launched what could be a Segway look-alike. The Toyota Winglet is a the lighter and hopefully a much-less expensive version of the ever-popular Segway -- and they come in 3 sizes too. Control of the Winglet is done by leaning in the direction you want to move. Toyota may start using these babies at the Japan Aiport sometime next year but mass production will not start until 2010. As part of Toyota Motor Corp's recall of 6.39 million vehicles worldwide, Toyota Motor Philippines is recalling Innova, Fortuner, and Hilux units sold in the country from November 2004 to June 2010. There are, however, no incidents reported related to this condition." To address the problem, Toyota Motor Philippines launched its "Special Service Campaign" to have the faulty parts replaced free of charge. "In line with Toyota’s firm commitment on product safety and quality, Toyota Motor Philippines will issue a Special Service Campaign (SSC) on the affected models. Owners of affected units are also advised to get in touch with the Toyota Customer Assistance Center at (02) 819-2912 or visit their Toyota dealership.
