I was with Ajay all evening last night at Starbucks Adriatico in Malate for some very confidential undercover project. :p
Thinking that the Starbucks branch there had Airborne Access internet, I brought my laptop with me so we could do some online stuff. I was mistaken.
However, there was this wifi access point available somewhere which my laptop detected. The name of the network suggested that it was from Meridian (or SmartBro) but I was surprised I was able to connect to the network. Surfing wasn’t any good though as I could not get anything.
A few re-connection tries later and my browser was pulling some web page. I really though I got in but again got surprised again that I was redirected to the Smart Bro Portal page. I took a screen shot below:
Was that supposed to happen? I entered my Airborne Access account hoping that, since Smart/PLDT also owns AA, I could login successfully. Nay. What if I use a SmartBro account?
So there’s now a “mobile” Smart Bro? Typical of the PLDT group to have competing products in their portfolio…

It looks like somebody’s wireless router isn’t secured properly… then again, it could be that somebody’s intentionally tapping into smart bro and waiting for somebody to enter their username and password… phishing!
May mga AP ang Smart WiFi/Smart Bro na 2.4Ghz Frequency na pang SendFar bukod sa Canopy na 5.7 Ghz… Wala lang!

hoop is correct, somebody’s wireless router is powered on that time and not secured (starbucks neighbor) and this somebody is a SMART BRO subscriber (malas nya! dami problem nito at intermittent and uptime…) He went out for coffee and forgot to shut off his unsecured router! I think you can connect to internet if you have an account with SMART BRO using his wireless router…

As far as i know guys you cannot use your password and username to any place! is you are registered to makati you cannot use this password to alabang bec every wifi antena that smart bro give has an mac address that is registered to your account if you use any password which is diff to your mac address connection will temporary disconnect for secuirity. so if you make sagap with any signal with anyone router unsecured and he use smart bro you cannot use your username and password bec its not registered on that antena!
want to know why! kc kung pwede yun! d sana na i transfer ko na ang antena smartbro ko sa laguna! i tried but it cannot connect bec it was registered to makati! my account has been disconnect and i just confirm it and my connection got back.
that is my expirience, but dont just rely on my explanation you can new expirience to or just try to have an tryal an error.

im using a smart bro and i bought a wireless router na ZyXEL model P-334wt.. galing sa canopy diretso sa router at nkkpag-surf kmi ng internet using 2 desktop and 5 laptop computers, medyo nbabawasan nga lng ng konti un speed but its worth it… atleast na maximize ko un connections…
ok nman un ZyXEL na router kc plug n play na sya, no need to install software or sumtin… basta un una na mangyayari eh pag nadetect na ng router un connection from smart eh ire-redirect ka muna sa smart portal, u need to do sum security checking sa smart bro, after nun ok na.. u can now surf the net…

Nakakaconnect naman sa internet pag kabit pero isa isang PC lang. Pag nagsabay say 2 PC, disconnect isang PC. Tapos di rin ma access ang default na router IP na 192.168.1.1.

hi… to those who are having a problem with linksys router, u need to configure that router first so that it could share multiple internet connection . access mo default gateway nya, its (192.168.1.1) tas configure mo depende kung ano ang internet connection type mo, kung cable connection ka, just leave it auto-config DHCP pero pag DSL, change it to PPPoE. tas give the informations being ask. save mo lang. and u need to make sure na u have internet ip address sa status tab to make sure its configured correctly and is now ready for multiple internet connection. medyo magulo at complicated. pasensya.

anyway guys to access smartbro wifi if you have username and password to obtain it you need to subscribe, how to hack well if you know how to change a mac address of your lan card you can download it or search it. then you need to configure the canopy which hold some information, canopy is the antenna on the rooftop it is like a router that has some configuration. i have a connection in my home and in my house using one account only i bought 1 antenna from a some one got disconnected on smart so i use it and reconfigure. by the way you can not use it at the same time! but still the best part is I got connection in my home and my shop
kwel. router problem just do this clone the mac address where they install your antenna so simple right to make it less configuration just use DHCP server and make it auto obtain IP note mac address are in hexadecimal

hi there.. help po. i just move-in to a new place near lang din dun sa dati kong aprtment. wala pa 100 meters yung layo ng old place ko sa new place. then i set up my canopy antenna. pointing to the same base station. unfortunately ndi na ako maka connect. what im getting is “limited or no connectivity” and im not comfortable paying smartbro for relocation fee. they ar charging me P1400 for that. panget na nga yung service nila tapos harang pa yung charging fee nila. Hi, Guyz pede po patulong po naka router po ako since october
and ok ko naman nagagamit yong connection ko both on desktop and my laptop this last wed. i’ve lost my connection then i called tech support sabi nila tanggalin ko router then connect ko to 1 pc lang… then ginawa ko naman tapos ok naman sya di na nawawala ito ang prob. everytime na iconnect ko ulit sya through router ok then naredirect ako sa portal tapos ok na may connection na ulit both laptop and PC but maya maya mga 5 mins. nawawala na naman and di na ako nareredirect sa portal… pero pag sa isang PC lang ako nakaconnect ok sya di nawawala…..
san ba ang prob? on smartbro or on my router or on my OS

yeah, becouse the router is not properly configure. you need to acces the router first. becouse somebody is already connected in one direction(WIRELESS LAN).

Canopy SM Classic, i bought when i was in New York for $82.
New York is a wifi zone country, u can access the Web everywhere if u have this antenna from motorola, Canopy SM classic.
Talking about speed in New York, we’re talking 512Mbps + free access.
As i am in Philippines right now,
One thing Im so Happy about this Antenna, im surprised, i can access all the the web here in Phil without prompting “portal.smartbro.net”. Just activating the WAN of it, using my router NAT program of this antenna works good. All free. No PhP 999. No Smartbro. Only Internet from 4MBPS up to 100mbps. Voip may worked. No “Putol-putol” as others experienced (i heard).
So regarding with my statement ” NO Hacking PLease”
I have a friend,a “wealthy person”, in my Bachelors PAD had a Smartbro connection,
the installer installed her antenna 10am and provide the USER ID and PASSWORD, around 9pm, Her connection was lost, it says: “Redirecting…”
upon log in it says: “New Settings had been detected please call Technical Support”
As my observation, it needs to Reroam (Roaming),
My question is?
Do we need to reroam the connection? Even shes not moving the antenna to the other place?
OR MAYBE? The other person(The installer) using Her account?
My rate for this hackers are .001%.

Eto po quick fix sa mga gumagamit ng router para ma share nyo sa ibang pc yng internet. pasok kayu sa setup ng router then hanapin nyo yung clone pc’s mac address. pag nagawa nyo na to, mag rredirect ulit yung browser sa smart portal login page, enter nyo ulit username at pasword, tapos surf kyo for about 5 minutes, tapos try nyo na plug yung ibang pc sa router.
